RAM timing cycle

The cycle time of RAM memory, measured in nanoseconds, indicates the time required to access information on the RAM module. In simpler words, the shorter the RAM cycle time, the less time it takes to read or write information from the memory cells.

RAM Timings

Another type of measurement that is common in RAMs is CAL numbers. These numbers indicate the number of time cycles passed on the processor clock, to read or write data to the RAM memory. For example, if your RAM has CL16, it means that it takes 16 time cycles on the memory clock to store information on the memory or to read from the memory and transfer it to the processor.

The difference between Thunderbolt and USB Type-c

If you've been paying attention, you've noticed that the Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports look similar to USB Type-c. This has caused most users to think that Thunderbolt is the same as USB Type-c. But in fact Thunderbolt and USB Type-c are not the same.

Thunderbolt cable

USB Type-c is a powerful connector that supports data transfer at a speed of 10 gigabits per second. But Thunderbolt 3 and 4, in addition to the advantages of USB Type-c, also have the advantages of PCI X connections, and this has caused the Thunderbolt port to have a much higher power.

Another advantage of the Thunderbolt port is that it can connect an external graphics card to your system. This advantage is very important for many users, especially gamers.
